Many people just hope they’ll fall asleep when they go to bed. That is why so many people end up suffering regularly from insomnia. If you would like to be able to overcome your difficulty sleeping, here are some simple things you can do to prepare your body to beat insomnia and get a good night’s sleep.

1. Stop eating so much sugar. Do you really want to improve your sleep? Then remove sugar completely from what you eat. Most people have far too much sugar in their diet. Sugar negatively affects your body’s balance for a long time after you initially ingest it. Having too much in your stomach when you go to sleep can cause you really serious trouble falling asleep. Deep sleep is what we really need in order to wake feeling refreshed and ready to take on the day.

What I didn’t realize, however, was the biology behind that lethargic feeling. (more…)

My mother would recover but since she had dementia she would need me to make some decisions about where she would stay. (more…)
